And each year more I age, I gray.
Yet still, in each endearing way --
In the things you do and the words you say --
You let me know that, come what may,
You are mine right now, and you're here to stay.

Valentine's Day? Oh me, oh my,
I think I'd better pause and try
to share what's deep within my heart
(and not just another bedtime fart).
With you, my love, I choose to be
more than a calamity.
And that is saying quite a lot
when you look at me and give it thought.
For each and every other day
I fall in love with the things you say.
And the things you DO ... they're even better.
If dead were alive, they'd make me deader.
All this, I guess, is my way to share
that I think we make an outrageous pair.
So as this poem ends, I'll say on cue:
"Happy Valentine's Day" and "I love you."
